A £150,000 investment brings modern design and a unique shopping experience to life.

Sugeshan Jegasothy, an experienced retailer, has recently opened his fourth store—a ‘concept’ Londis in Box. With a £150,000 investment, he’s transformed it into a modern space featuring a premium cooler and illuminated displays. After 15 years as a Forecourts retailer and nearly a decade of owning independent stores, Sugeshan is now focused on delivering a unique shopping experience through his latest venture.
Q: How long have you been using the VSL Trade app, and do you source the majority of your stock through it?
Sugeshan: “I’ve been using the VSL Trade app for almost two years now, and it’s been doing really well for me. Before, I had to go elsewhere, but the app and the delivery service have been fantastic. The pricing is spot on—they really look after me, so I’m happy sticking with them.”

Sugeshan: “Yeah, the American candy is a big one. Rolling papers are popular too, and Legal Big Puff is selling like crazy. PIXL products are doing well as well, especially the PIXL CDU—it’s so eye-catching. I’ve also got a great back wall display too.”
Q: Can you tell us about your new ‘concept store’ and what makes it unique?
Sugeshan: “We’ve put about £150k into this new concept store, basically turned it into a mini supermarket. There’s a big chilled section, a good frozen range, loads of American products, a beer cooler, an ATM, and parcel services. We’ve also got a slushy machine, Costa coffee, a milkshake machine, and a vape display with glass sliding doors. There’s a whole back wall gantry for all the other vapes. It’s definitely unique.”
