From Pixels to Puffs: Frank’s Journey
Q: What inspired you to start the PIXL brand, and how did the journey begin?
Frank: “Well, I’ve been in the UK for twelve years now, originally worked in the mobile phone industry. You know, in this world, if it’s not Apple, it’s probably Google, and Google’s got this flagship line called Pixel. I liked that — Pixel has a kind of digital, modern feel that connects with people. I wanted to create a brand with that same feel, something tied to tech and digital vision.
When I first started designing PIXL here in the UK, there was nothing like it with a screen on a popular device. I wanted to make something iconic — give users a screen where they could see battery life and boost mode. That kind of innovation felt fresh and functional, and it tied in perfectly with the name PIXL.
When I was a kid, I played those pixelated games we all grew up with. I still play them sometimes! I thought it’d be fun to bring a bit of that nostalgia into a modern product, like a connection to our childhood memories.”
Navigating a Competitive Industry
Q: How do you stay motivated and inspired as a leader in such a competitive industry?
Frank: “People say this industry is competitive, and it is, but I still see a lot of opportunities. Back in 2017, I left the mobile industry and got into the e-liquid business, just as TPD regulations came out. I invested in an e-liquid brand and the e-liquid market exploded! Brands like IVG, Vampire Vape, and Dinner Lady all grew because they created these iconic flavours.
So, I realised that new regulations actually bring new opportunities. With PIXL 6000, I thought, why are illegal disposables so popular? It’s all about consumer demand. So I looked for ways to make something that gives customers what they want legally, something that’s safe, meets standards, and still delivers on experience. Yeah, there’s a lot of competition, but with new laws, new tech, and changing customer needs, there’s always room to grow.”
Q: What kind of feedback have you received from customers about the PIXL 6000 so far?
Frank: “It’s been amazing. People have used that word a lot when talking about PIXL! But behind that simple word is a ton of hard work from my team. Innovation doesn’t happen overnight; we’re focused on what consumers actually need. We made sure the flavours are balanced, that the power output matches the liquid flavour perfectly, that we’re using safe heating materials, and even built in childproofing. We’ve thought through every detail.”

What Sets PIXL 6000 Apart?
Q: What sets the PIXL 6000 device apart from other products on the market?
Frank: “The big thing with PIXL 6000 is the U-shape connector. When I designed it last August, I noticed that other devices had the tank underneath. With our U-shape connector, users get instant flavour when they click. No need to shake or wait for the coil to saturate. Plus, it’s rechargeable, so it gives more power, which means bigger clouds and more flavour. People are really enjoying that.”
Q: Can you give us a sneak peek into any upcoming products or features that users can look forward to?
Frank: “Yes, absolutely! We’ve got a new device coming out called PIXL Duo. It’s a dual-flavour pod system with a big puff output. It’s designed to be super convenient — users just click and vape. No messing around with complicated setups, just a straightforward, flavourful experience. I think it’s going to be a hit.”
